Chris Sainsbury // Founder & Managing Director
Chris founded UX Connections with a vision to provide clients with a flexible supply of trusted, specialised user experience consultants. Chris has over a decade of experience working in London and New York across key sections including financial services, travel & tourism, media & entertainment, ecommerce, FMCG, and telecoms to create engaging, innovative experiences for brands such as ASOS, Shell, Unilever, USA Today, Google, Virgin Atlantic, HTC, Barclaycard, and Visit London.

Anwen O’Dell // UX Manager
Anwen is the heart and soul of UX Connections – embodying our values and ensuring everything runs smoothly so our consultant team can focus on what they do best – designing great experiences. With a background including key roles at WhatIf Innovation and EMC Conchango, Anwen is a well placed figure in the industry with all the right connections and relationships. She’s creative, blessed with a relentlessly positive outlook on life and a fantastic judge of character. We couldn’t do it without her.

Jonny Hough // Business Director
Jonny’s energy and dedication to delivering successful projects of the highest standard is what sets him apart from the crowd. He’s a valuable source of new business leads for UX Connections, as well as providing expert advice and guidance to Chris and Anwen. An industry veteran, his CV reads like a who’s who of creative agencies in London including Tribal Worldwide, TMW, Razorfish, Ogilvy, Agency Republic, delivering for brands including Vodafone, Volkswagen, British Airways, Nike and Adidas.

Hayley Charlton // UX Consultant
Hayley is the UX you want on your team — proactive, dynamic, dedicated and diligent, she makes a real difference to all her projects. With beautiful deliverables and reasoned arguments, her product definitions are complete in every way — ensuring consideration of business and customer needs, technology and aesthetics. With a background in computer science and application development, Hayley has worked for brands including Ladbrokes and Unilever, as well as agencies Elmwood and Interbrand.

Ali Hamra // UX Consultant
Ali is a precise communicator — dedicated and resourceful, he finds the delicate balance between detail and aesthetic across all deliverables. Ali is able to work across industry sectors, adapting to client domains and providing UX expertise with consideration and thoughtful application of design principles. With a background in graphic design, illustration, 3D graphics and multimedia computing his eye for detail captures the needs of both client and customer. Ali has worked for brands including Shell, Sony, Imagination and We Love Digital.

Liza Arvidsson // UX Consultant
Liza has great interest for user research and inclusive design and with a master’s degree from one of Sweden’s top technical universities. Through her education and projects she has built up a solid toolbox of UX methods. Together with keen analytic skills she is well-prepared for improving and developing UX solutions. Driven by the ability to influence the experience people have and to create an experience that makes the user want to come back over and over again.

Genalda Silva // UX Consultant
Genalda is a sharp consultant with an easygoing manner – a great combination who is enjoyable to work with. She combines an inquisitive, analytical mind with deep technical knowledge and impressive design and layout skill. Originally from Portugal, Genalda has lived in London for 6 years and has worked for brands including Ford, Canon, Tarmac, Jack Morton, Fanslide and Harvest Digital.

Rebecca Scott // UX Consultant
Rebecca is a talented researcher — she has a flair for inquisitive questioning, a natural rapport with interviewees and an analytical mind when it comes to reviewing results and constructing personas. Rebecca is innately conscientious and has a thoroughness to her work which ensures she completes every project in an exemplary manner. With a background in historical studies, Rebecca has translated her skills set perfectly in to the digital age. She has worked for startups Event.ly and Bar Chick.

Lauren Nicholson // UX Consultant
Lauren is a strong UX designer who is able to quickly understand a problem and develop solutions that both address the business needs but also are customer centric. Lauren has a clear and analytical mind and is able to consider edge cases and evaluate robustness and feasibility very early in the process. She loves developing detailed wireframes and documentation and has experience with both web and native apps with a strong grounding from her Product Design education at the University of Brighton. She’s been putting these skills to use on a range of clients including GVC, Ladbrokes, Coral, Party Poker and bwin.

Jonathan Andrews // UX Consultant
Jonathan is a strong creative with advanced problem solving skills. His expertise centres around the production of detailed wireframes and user journeys, utilising empathy to engage with users and their needs, adding value every step of the way. Jonny studied Industrial Design and Ergonomics at Loughborough University before working at Bentley Motors designing luxury products and experiences for high end clients. He has a great deal of experience at brands including Imagination and Jack Morton, working for a number of clients not limited to Samsung, AXIS Communications, Schlumberger and CRH.

Ruby Hardy Bullen // UX Consultant
Ruby is a creative and enthusiastic designer with a background in industrial design and technology. Analytical and thorough, Ruby strives to comprehensively understand design problems in order to discover opportunities and provide wireframes, guidelines and documentation. Ruby’s previous experience in medical design enables her to solve problems with a human-centred approach and prioritise stakeholder needs. Ruby is currently working abroad on UX & UI projects for GVC, migrating a range of their brands to a new design platform.

Yuko Mitani // UX Consultant
Yuko is passionate about creating user centric human experience. She always go above and beyond what is expected of her for the good of her team and customers. Yuko began her career in the e-commerce industry in Japan before moving to the UK to take a masters in UX in London. She is always looking for ways to improve her skills in order to improve customer journey. Yuko has worked with companies such as Jack Morton and Immediate Media to name just a few.

Felipe Fernandez // UX Consultant
Felipe is an articulate and well organised UX consultant, he is a fabulous communicator and is able to work with clients from different sectors. Felipe tailors his design process to fit within clients needs and delivers realistic and practical solutions. As a consultant Felipe’s work involves conducting user interviews and creating high-fidelity wireframes aligned with business requirements. Felipe has studied Communication and Advertising, working for several years for an advertisement agency as an art director with clients including Roche, Stiefel and Galderma. Recently, for UX connections, he has worked with Schlumberger and Hitachi Rail Europe, creating wireframes for both websites and web apps.

Federica Priore // UX Consultant
Federica is a natural empathiser – curious, creative and enthusiastic. She has a natural ability to detect users’ intentions and needs with the ultimate goal of adapting them to the client’s objectives and priorities. Her UX skills are varied, stemming from user research, information architecture and usability testing. With a background in Humanities and an MA in Digital Media, Federica has also focused on customer experience, customer journey and engagement strategies. She has worked for brands such as BBC Good Food, BBC Gardeners’ World and Hitched.

Georgina Sallis // UX Consultant
Georgina has a clear analytical mind with the ability to understand the point of the user as well as ensure the clients needs are met. She has a wealth of experience developing detailed wireframes, UI designs and most recently competitor analysis. Georgina gained a First Class degree from the University of Westminster in Graphic Communication Design and has always had a love for design and an eye for detail, use of expressive colour and engaging audiences. She also love creating products or designs that are a little bit ‘different’. Most recently Georgina has been delivery UX for Hitachi Rail Europe, Experian, Imagination and Multiplex.

Andrea Cheshire // Team-Coordinator
Andrea is the magic that keeps UX Connections running! A team coordinator with an eye for detail, friendly touch and great work ethic, she does all the jobs in the background that allow us to present a united, organised front to our clients. Previously she’s worked for Dixons Carphone Warehouse, Mothercare and also founded and run two of her own businesses. Phew!

Simon Richardson // Digital Art Director
Simon loves all things design, particularly branding, typography and digital interface, believing a mix of influences and personalities produce great creative work. He brings passion and creativity to work alongside our UX consultants and delivers compelling and inspiring user interfaces for our projects. He tailors his design process to fit our clients needs, adding wit and humour if he can. Simon’s experience includes working in agencies, with startups, charity and community projects and now consulting for his own clients.

Audane Leger // Metrics & Analytics Consultant
You will know when Audane enters a room because her positive energy, enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of her subject matter will captivate you and make you instantly aware you’re dealing with an expert. Audane is our analyst — she’s in charge of metrics and KPIs for our projects, making sure our designs deliver on their promise and maximise revenue and conversion for clients. Hailing from the USA she’s worked for e-commerce giant Saks Fifth Avenue before joining us here in London.

Tyrell McCaskie // Motion Graphics Consultant
Tyrell brings motion and devotion to UX Connections, he Graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology and then trained in Blender 3D, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Illustrator. Tyrell is an Enthusiastic Motion Graphics Designer and contributes to our success with animation, motion graphics and 3D promotional videos for both clients and UX Connections.

Patch McCabe // UX Consultant
Patch is an enthusiastic UX designer with a passion for creating user centred design solutions. He specialises in creating precise wireframes, and enjoys interacting with stakeholders to gain in depth insights. Patch studied Industrial Design & Ergonomics at Loughborough University before working in the automotive industry as a designer for Jaguar Land Rover. In his time at UXC he has put his skills to good use for a range of clients including Lombard Odier Investment Managers, The National Newspaper, and BetMGM

Sophie Curzon // UX Consultant
Sophie is an Analytical thinker with the ability to produce creative user-centric solutions. She is experienced in conducting user research to create personas and customer journeys, alongside usability testing to create in-depth wireframes based off user feedback. Sophie has a background as an Ergonomics Consultant; assessing the design of products alongside workplace cultures. Sophie’s work with UX Connections has been in both the UK and US with clients including: MNC, SRFT/NHS and RAPP.

Anita Smith // Legal Secretary
Anita has an analytical mind and is able to see and summarise key points in pages of text. She reviews all legal documents before signature and is also responsible for HR. Anita is a former solicitor with an MSc in Criminal Justice as well as a co-owner of a graphic and web design company in New Zealand.

Connor Ibbetson // Journalist
Connor keeps UX Connections up to date with tech knowledge – he’s in charge of our journalism. Whether it’s the latest gadgets, or ground-breaking new hardware and software with a beautiful user interface, the UX Connections articles are shared far and wide on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. Guy Rigby // Business Strategy Advisor
Guy is our senior business strategist and ensures we’re charting the right course through entrepreneurial waters. Guy is author of From Vision to Exit, an essential handbook for businesses looking for fast yet stable growth. His techniques focus on setting a clear vision for the business and then executing the strategy and tactics. Guy has been a director and part-owner of a number of different ventures, including businesses in the IT, property, defence, manufacturing and retail sectors.

Helen England // Team Coordinator
As team coordinator Helen helps keep things running in the background at UX Connections. She is a self motivated individual providing support to Chris and the team in an administrative capacity, with attention to detail and friendly professionalism. Helen is always keen to expand her knowledge in order to enable the team to reach their goals. In her spare time Helen is a keen crafter and you’ll usually find her at her sewing machine or at the business end of a glue gun!

Mae Foster // UX Consultant
Mae is inquisitive about user centred research and analysis, regularly conducting usability testing sessions within projects while developing skills in wireframing and user centric solutions. She previously studied Product Design at Central St Martins – UAL, focusing on user experience & need within each project. Since starting with UXC she has worked with brands: Entain – Ladbrokes & Coral, KKI, US Integrity & Lombard Odier.

Zohrane Dyer // UX Consultant
Zohrane is passionate about identifying target users’ needs and gathering data to make informed design decisions. Zohrane has delivered great work for Vodafone, Hoist group and RAPP which has included reviewing current products and design solutions to solve user needs and business challenges through User research, Information Architecture, detailed wireframes and prototyping. Having studied Communication Design, Zohrane has a good understanding of colour psychology and design principles enabling her to create impactful visual design solutions.

Samantha Tung // UX Consultant
Samantha is skilled at mapping out problems through research and translating them into opportunities and simple yet creative solutions. She can help you along the whole design process from user research, ideation, wireframing to the final deliverables. Having gained a BSc User Centred Design at Loughborough University, she is experienced in empathising with users and crafts solutions that meet both user and business needs. Samantha has worked with clients like Ralph Lauren and PayPal on customer journeys and wireframing.

Sirine Nasr // UX Consultant
Sirine is a dedicated and meticulous designer who aspires to build reliable connections with clients. She has an avid interest in creating empathetic design that communicates customer needs beautifully and professionally. Sirine has a background in Computer Science and a master’s degree in Software Systems with research focus on Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Bath. Through a pragmatic understanding of technical feasibility, business constraints, and the value of proactive communication, Sirine strives to find a balance between adopting an innovative mindset and prioritising customer requirements. She has worked in delivering high-fidelity wireframes and detailed user journeys for Entain and KKI.

Ariel Hsu // Marketing and Social Media Assistant
Having studied International Marketing at King’s College London, Ariel has delved into different fields of marketing, including digital marketing, marketing communication and brand management. With the bachelor’s degree of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Ariel is keen to perform marketing activities in a human context that takes different cultures and values into consideration. SEO, online/offline events and brand reputation building are the key areas she is focusing now at UX Connections.

Maisie Carroll // Marketing Assistant
As a Marketing Assistant, Maisie works within the Business Development Department which focuses on maximising company profits by developing sales strategies and marketing campaigns. Maisie is a fast learner with a research-based background, and has a keen eye for social media content production and strategy. Having gained a BA in Sociology and Communications and Media from University of Liverpool, she not only has experience in media production and theory, but also appreciates how this fits within wider societal structures, therefore understanding how this affects audience consumption of media and marketing.

Missy Curry // Resource Manager
Missy is a very well rounded resource manager with over a decade of experience under her belt. She has worked at various Advertising agencies over the years and has amassed a good knowledge of Digital, Print and Above the line work. She has worked with Tequila, TBWA, Imagination, M&C Saatchi, Gravity Thinking, Table19, Futurice and Jack Morton to name a few. She also has a rather fine little black book of freelancers and has been known to perform miracles on finding resource at very short notice. Missy has a keen interest in people and the glass is always half full no matter what the situation.

Lisa Nordgren // UX Consultant
Lisa is a true team player that always goes the extra mile to make sure our clients are set up for success. She is a versatile designer with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in product design, experienced in conducting research as well as creating high fidelity wireframes. During her time with us she has delivered great work to brands such as RAPP, The National News, Esso and The Honest Brand.
