A UX Agency

Agency life at UX Connections isn’t always the most traditional. We don’t have an office, a company hierarchy or a particularly set way of doing things. Flexibility is a key part of both our business offering, but also the consultant lifestyle.

Our consultants work in different environments depending on the needs of the client project they are working on; also taking into account their personal preferences. The different environments include: from home, in our shared office space (work.life) and in client offices. Different members of the agency tend to communicate using our main business communication tool which is skype; when we can’t all see each other in person.

As an agency, UX Connections, focusses a great deal on the wellness of its employees. Regular office days are encouraged, company trips are planned (involving attendance at tech conferences) and socials are organised. Some examples of our upcoming social event include:

  • Team crazy golf
  • Remote drinks with our international teams
  • A trip to Sweden to visit the consultants in the Gothenburg office
  • Attendance of SXSW in Texas
  • Go Ape

Life at a UX Agency

Working at our agency involves a great deal of variety, at certain times work can be incredibly busy, and at others there may be periods of skill-building. We aim to foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing at all times. If a consultant is ever stuck with a design problem or needs help with a piece of software, then they can simply speak with another consultant.

We carry out our agency work using a variety of UX discipline-specific tools. These include the likes of figma, sketch, Adobe suite and XD for design work. When it comes to UX research we tend to use tools such as trymyui, Mr Tappy and remote conferencing software.

Our consultants tend to work with client services teams and product teams in client organisations.
