UX Connections Supporting The Centre for Alternative Technology

UX Connections is joining The Centre for Alternative Technology’s efforts in protecting our beautiful planet. To show our support, we reached out to sponsor the charitable organisation with the amount of £1000. Meanwhile, UX Connections is launching a social media campaign around CAT (The Centre for Alternative Technology) and sustainability, to call attention to the environment.

Shifting the focus from social entrepreneurship alongside Guy’s Atlantic Challenge, this quarter UX Connections is championing the dedication to fighting climate change. Our consultants are well aware of their environmental responsibility and care about the environment. Working in UX, they also pay close attention to innovation as well as technology, which leads us to support CAT. CAT conducts research to find solutions to climate change, and through its essence as an educational centre they communicate the actions required to the public.

Zero Carbon Britain is a project that CAT has been working on for over 10 years. The reports they published include Zero Carbon Britain: Rising to the Climate Emergency and Zero Carbon Britain: Making it Happen, in which CAT explores the complex barriers around climate action, sheds light on the latest scientific and technological developments; and offers an evidence based roadmap or ‘technically feasible scenario’ for achieving a Zero Carbon Britain using existing technology.

In the following campaign, we will introduce more work of CAT and integrate our consultants’ thoughts on user experience and sustainability as usual, on the grounds that we are a UX agency. Please visit CAT’s website https://cat.org.uk/ if you would like to support them!
